Over the weekend a big thing happened at JC Penney and I’m bringing the good to you!
An exclusive brand for JCPenney has been curated into a collection of classic styles to mix and match for the entire family and the home.
This super exciting brand is called Peyton & Parker!
For me as a one stop shopper and style lover this is game changer especially during the holiday season.
Peyton & Parker is the photo ready collection that is perfect for coordinating a style or home decor with perfect mix and match pieces. It’s NOW possible to even bring the photo studio to your home for the holidays for some real life shots…. just the way we love!
I had the privilege of trying out the new brand in a style challenge and couldn’t find a piece I didn’t love; so much so that I did some boys styling and the whole family. This sweater has actually just made my wish list.
The new lifestyle brand is designed entirely by the in-house design team at JCPenney and sold exclusively at their stores and online. It’s truly a moms dream come true.
Peyton & Parker is now available to make instagramable moments real and simple for you and yours.

This is our 3rd year attending the NY baby show and every year it gets better and better!
This year V & K were well equipped with knowledge on what Bash enjoys, what our audience loves and where to find things that would interest them as well. There is something for everyone to enjoy at this show.
We entered the venue and immediately checked in with our friends from Mom trends at the blogger lounge. We got our map, ate a little lunch; catered by Boston Market and headed out to the floor.
There’s always so much to see and amazing informative panelists speaking about parenthood, secret hacks and new products. We were sure to take a listen in while Twiniversity expert Natalie Diaz took the stage.
We mapped out our day from panelist speaking to the media lounge with the first of our favorite companies Babo Botanicals .
They are creating products that are reef safe. From amazing tinted spf sunscreen to skin cream with ingredients to help you get a handle on your eczema; all with natural delicious scents.
Note: we weren’t the only ones with our day strategically mapped out. There were some 3rd trimester mamas with checklists in their hands. It’s very important to be prepared, when you’re walking a venue this big and fun.
After visiting a few brands in the search of essentials for babies, toddlers and above we were so pleased with Stuck on you ! Our second favorite brand in attendance at the NY Baby Show was an easy selection. With V & K getting ready for summer camp; we needed to a few labeling accessories and boxes for snack. The durable bento box made by Stuck on You is so trendy with his cover designs “unicorns” and more, along with its compartments will make lunch packing easier than ever!
Third on our Lovers list includes something special for nursing moms. The yummy secret behind the recommendation to eat oatmeal and ingredients found in Beer have come together in a delicious cookie recipe by Mommy Knows Best Lactation Cookie Mix ! We ALL tested a cookie and approved the yummy-ness; but validation was approved when milk was present for Bash. Many nursing moms may have tried the two foods or drinks separate for assisting with milk production but a yummy cookie treat can do the quick trick.
After a fun day at the NY Baby show we couldn’t wait to share our favorite top 3 hot brands and products we’ve discovered along with the many reasons why the event is for everyone learning and experiencing the joys of parent hood including the kiddos. The top 3 selections were choices and opinions of my own and we hope you’ll consider trying for yourselves.
What is a staycation?
Perhaps you’ve heard the term used loosely many a time. This could be because many people have different definitions of what a staycation is. We define a staycation as a time spent at home without obligations, schedules and deadlines just to catch up on things that we’d like to do for fun, maybe time to lounge and sleep in and definitely enjoy the goodness of our city.
In the case of our Twindollicious crew; we made sure to get out and enjoy the Spring teaser weather during our Winter break staycation.
We visited the Brooklyn Botanical gardens for a magical scavenger hunt throughout the gardens. This fun day was hosted by our friends at Mommynearest. The kids were able plant a Paperwhite to take home.. we can’t wait to share the progress and growth :):)
Our next adventure included a Day in Times Square in the heart of the big apple at the NatGeoEncounter ! The kiddos were all able to enjoy an interactive experience of 3D underwater activities along with an opportunity to be on a big Billboard in Timesquare.
V & K also learned a new skill during their vacation; which is so fitting to their personalities. We were given the opportunity to create an animation video provided by Goldfish . The girls create not one but 2 scenes of interactive moving goldfish.
1 the first creation included V & K as chefs prepping a goldfish meal for themselves when a sneaky puppy comes along to enjoy the meal. TwinDolliciousInstagram (shared here on Instagram)
2. The second creation included a goldfish parade, with confetti and moving floats.
It was so great to help support the NY International Children’s Film Festival. The children enjoyed 13 short films created by artists. After each film ballots were filled to rate their favorite films. It is always amazing to be able to surround children with art and culture.
We enjoyed sharing our top Staycation choices. If Grandmas house in PA was option we would link ticket info to that show; but til next time we hope you’ll take a visit to some of our favorite places during your visit or staycation in NYC.
Please enjoy a way to melt away the boredom with this fun Snowman maze worksheet. For more engaging learning activities, go to Education.com!
We were excited to partner with them in order to bring our little readers some fun!
New York City children would love to spend their time at Symphony Space for the seasons Just Kidding shows line up.
You’ve been warned – there is a ton of extremely fun events lined up. Just Kidding 2017-18 PR FINAL APPROVED
We had the pleasure of attending the second show of the seasons line up…thanks to our friends at Thirtymommy !
The Moonlights performed their whimsical, evocative songs about the world around us, using interesting instruments and beautiful whistle tone singing. Singers and producer Rachel Losak and Dean Jones complete this magnificent duo by incorporating real life personal stories, dancing and interaction with the audience. At one point Kennedy added a bit of her harmonic melody during “Ah, the moon” it was almost perfectly synchronized and I’m not just kidding…or saying that because she’s my child hahaha.
The seasons line up is from October 7th – March 24th on the weekends …you will not want to miss out! Get your tickets :):)
Happy Tuesday TwinDollicious readers! It’s been a bitter sweet week full of milestones and great loss. We’ve had to deal with the unfortunate task of saying goodbye to someone so close to us. She was a teacher, mentor, a friend and a God sent angel to have joined our family for 11 years. We say goodbye thankful yet sadly; today, but her memory will live on happily. And one day the girls will ask about her missing place and I will have to figure out the best way to explain.
I’ve come to believe that the timing of loss or sadness happens when good and new beginnings are set to occur.
- Celebrating recitals, new beginnings and Pre K graduations mark important moments which excited the girls to spend time with friends, serve their purpose and make memories. During this time, I’ve noticed how much V & K have grown. How their personalities continue to grow and how they still have the same sense of style!
- Rock star style and Ruffle dresses
Our milestone moments have shown love and appreciation for teachers. T would make for bonded relationships and teamwork if parents and teachers are able to connect and nurture the years of your child’s lives in school. We could not had been more happy with the first year of education and musicianship for the girls and are looking forward to longer lasting fruitful relationships for them.
The children are our future and there’s only one shot – as for us times 2!
We were so excited to attend the girls first interactive theatre event. Yes, Disney world and Sesame place include their audience in standing and dancing during the shows but nothing compared to “Can Do Duck the musical” in the Redgrave theatre on Bleeker Street, NYC. The musical is being held in Redgrave which offers one show at a time, this allowed for the children to enter the building and gain a full experience of the lobby filled with Can Do goodies and embellishments. Once seated the show immediately began with interaction from the actors which held the children captive to what would happen next.
The story of Can Do Duck, describes all sorts of capabilities that you can achieve and is creatively incorporated with great musical numbers that the girls have singing or humming for days now …”Make a plan”.
Throughout the show the actors selected children to be a part of scenes. But the best part was the ending when all children were invited up to the stage to interactive with the actors and props. V & K pretending to swim in the pond like a duck and fly in the sky through the clouds with sparkled tutu skirts and all. This must musical will be running Weekend mornings until March 2014.
Our first video share, done by productions of sofamilyonline. Here’s a sneak peek with a bit of non choreographed dancing. The girls had so much fun; and we’d love for everyone to see the full feature and amazing DIY craft they completed 🙂 by subscribing to the Sofamilyonline // weeklyfavoriteswithmonicaj channel you can also enter to win a giveaway of the Rosette twirl dress (the girls are wearing).
Tuesday is happy day, music day, dancing and dress up day! Let’s take a moment to enjoy a quick laugh or a smile. These two girlies make it easy even if it’s only for a moment :):)
Believe me that quick second of laughter will remain in your thoughts longer than anything else.
To celebrate Japan’s Children’s Day we went to see a great performance of “Momotaro’s Magic Book” created by Nanase Kusano; owner of the Theatre Banana for children. This touching story was set in such a tone for the adults to gain interest and for little ones to remain interested. There was dancing, singing, rhyming and repetition for their intriguing minds to grasp and remember. The children interacted with the friendly and beautiful cast and the girls went home repeating the words “Don Bura Kukko” which were the words of a magic spell they’d learned from the performance. The touching story had a happy ending of friendship; which we all love and crafts were available for making throughout the theatre. I highly recommend children’s theatre groups as a starter introduction….we’re not rushing to broadway 🙂 :). Here are some photos of the performance, vita and kennedy with the blue Oni monster and vita playing with her craft (Hang koinobori aka carp streamers) in her Twindollicious dress and necklace that can be found in our shop ||follow links above in menu||.
