NYFW is the highlight of fashion as we all know and LOVE!
In 2018 fashion has gone beyond clothing and is now embracing beauty And wellness as an overall fashion lifestyle. This new turn on fashion lifestyle has opened up many doors for creatives as well as fashion lifestyle lovers.
I used to find it hard to incorporate my work into the big world of fashion, because of the dedication to children and As a mom who considers my daily schedule before planning my style for the day…. I may fall off trend at times. However the excitement of not only having children’s fashion become a small part of fashion week but hair and beauty has taken center stage and I was super excited to attend the Texture on the runway event by Sally Beauty.
#naturallycurly was the movement of the night.
The runway was filled with creatively styled hair up dos, while talented models and ceo’s of hair brands like Cantu, Mane, carols daughter, Mielle, Shea moisture graced the stage to speak all of their goodness into the audience.
This change in the fashion week sparked so much excitement in everyone. It was awesome to interact with the brands, feel the products and learn more about the story behind them .
Another highlight and perfect combination to Fashion week is the event parties that follow. Media outlets are the reasons why we all strive in our businesses.
Which is why an Elle Magazine Fashion week party could not have been missed. They hosted the most elegant soirée to pamper the hard workers that put on these shows, and their guests. The glam squad was in attendance to make you shine, while a showcase of on trend looks were displayed for a first look and feel.
I can now say that I’m especially looking forward to a new shoe release by Sorel. Now that Fashion week is done and fall is creeping in I should be prepping fall looks and style but I can’t seem to put our resort wear away just yet.
We will see you back on the blog when we return from the 🏖 beach!
(Visiting The beautiful 5 in the Caribbean … including Honduras)
We’re still waiting for spring to officially arrive here in NYC, but somehow she gave us a peek over the weekend.
Yes it’s April and we’ve passed through spring break so shouldn’t we be well on our way to a forecast view of 60’s and above. Nope, not this year!
We had a little break in the weather and experienced a 77 degrees high Saturday, over the weekend, which was perfect for our agenda. V, K and I were invited to an early Mother’s Day event hosted by Hey Mama and Michele Watch . We were able to preview the amazing new styles of watches and interchangeable bands, perfectly designed for the special mothers in our lives.
K had her eye on one particular style and I’m hoping she shares her thoughts with daddy. Isn’t it great to have little fashionistas with such style, by your side… if you’re lucky in that department we’d love to see in the comments below :)) ⬇️
We would also love to invite your mini to the TwinDollicious and The Fashion class party… we’re we’ll be making awesome backpacks!
Fashion Party / Design contest
V & K both enjoyed the stroll to BobO restaurant located on 10th street – downtown NYC; while sun gazing, chatting. We enjoyed brunch with friends and made new ones…. and couldn’t resist the cotton candy treats and flower wall.
Hello NYC it’s snowing again! Well, it is January. V & K enjoyed another cooking experience…. this time at Eataly Downtown, NYC at Tower 4 WTC.
Their weekend cooking classes are so kid friendly. The demonstration area is set in the back kitchen in front of a huge with a great view. This weekends menu included making fresh mozzarella; which took me down memory lane to when I sat in front of a cheese factory on the Amalfi coast eating hot freshly made mozzarella – YUM
The simple ingredients are so easy to repeat:
1 gallon of milk
1 1/2 teaspoon citric acid
1/4 teaspoon non-GMO rennet dissolved in a 1/4 cup cold water
1/3 cup of salt
1 large pot for heating
1 large bowl of cold water to place the shaped mozzarella in to cool off and serve
The delicious process of creating mozzarella was so easy and fun! Once the last pinch was made and all of the balls were cool and formed the girls took 3 of their very own pieces and placed them on an icicle pop stick, 1 piece of carrot, a few sunflower seeds and 2 bread sticks to make….. a snowman . Which they did not want to eat; but instead savored on a separate piece of mozzarella.
The awesome NYC /Italian feeling can be captured At Eataly . Our downtown friends at Fidi also has a calendar for upcoming classes.
We can’t wait to share more of these fun adventures on a new project with MomLifeTV
Being a twin means many things…like having a best friend forever, having someone to finish your sentences, having someone read your mind (hey you never know) even pretend to be you; if you’re identical …but the most perks of being a boy/boy or girl/girl twin is that you can enjoy each others fashions when you share the same style.
V&K continue to enjoy the same styles as well as dressing alike. Though this Halloween may be a bit complicated; stay tuned for that blog post 🙂
We recently had the opportunity to work with creative photographers as well as a Kidz fashion magazine and editors to share some of our favorite same and not quite the same Twindollicious styles.

Its September in New York again! My, my where does the time go!? After a great summer fun of travel and events we were happy to take some time out for a traditional NY block party. However, this block party hosted by the iconic Essence magazine featured many new artists, fashion icons, actors and mini style stars walking the street styles. V & K’s mention in the Essence review was quite humbling to see. Their natural love of meeting new people and interactions in fashion keeps their enthusiasm at 100% Always (LOL).
We’re sharing a few of our favorite shots as well as the Home Depot PINK closet makeover must have.
Sneak Peek of our new favorite shade of pink fabric and the rebranded logo which will be on all of the new styles for 2016!
When setting out to become an author, designer and creator of all things Twindollicious I didn’t know the path would lead us to meeting new people of all ages and creators of great things. I have always been a learner and fond of education, so having the opportunity to learn a new profession has been amazing. Our last year and a half has introduced us to great new friends for the girls and myself. We were recently honored to work with BCK Magazine; created and published by 16 year old art major students! When watching these hound woman express themselves and collaborate with young models and designers & photographers At this age, I can only imagine what in the world will come after high school!
Here’s a sneak peek at their work and beautiful shots of V & K in their designs.
Happy Tuesday! As the clouds have rolled in to make today a dark, rainy day we’re still feeling bright about our Sunday fun with friends. It was a perfectly bright and sunny day filled with friends, photographs, playtime, reading and a Carousel!!
This perfect place full of outdoor fun is the Brooklyn Bridge Park in Dumbo, (Brooklyn) NY. We chose this perfect location for our Twindollicious photo shoot because it was perfect combination of fun, beauty and excitement for the children. Our spring/summer collection shoot was worked by photographer Brett Martelli of http://www.martelliphotography.com/ and his wonderful crew; along with beautiful models Ligaya Murray, Majesti, Ava Belen, y’Naraly, Jayla Skye, Kennedy and Vittoria D’Anna; all for our feature in City Kids Magazine, issue 5.
The girls began on the historic cobble stone streets of dumbo, moving onto the lawn to read and share Twindollicious stories, leaving the finale shot to Janes Carousel. We can’t wait to see the full shots in the Summer release of BCK City Kids Magazine.
As promised we have a Twindollicious report on the Petite parade fashion show with added important information we would like to share.
This seasons event included fall/winter collections but the weather called for Spring.
When choosing a style the girls made the choice to wear their twindollicious *chevron with crochet trim skirts, cardigan and sparkly ballet flats. The short walk to the venue was amazing considering the loss of outerwear. Once we were seated and lights were out Vittoria took over the canon and began taking photos. I might add that I am happy we were not seated in the front row this year…Kennedy would not have been able to help herself from walking the runway; as she continued to do the Miss America wave from her seat.
Tristan and Tyler; twins from TristanandTyler show.com were great hosts! All models were gorgeous and professional. Their styles were a perfect match for each collection. Our favorite for the show were #imogacollection and #aliviasimone . PlaytimeNY and ENK children’s club at NYC Javits Center visits completed a full fashion week with a pit stop to the park! ~ V & K
