Slow down summer! Though it has been 3 plus weeks since school ended, just the thought of packing away our summer styles and prepping for the cold scares the hee bee gee bees out of me.
We’ve been taking it as slow as we can between summer camp and our weekend getaways we are soaking up all of the sun we can to fulfill our vitamin D needs.
With 3 kids in tow we planned to visit some historical sites within driving distance. An 8-10 hour drive may sound like much but we’ve survived 16; now that’s serious. We chose Saratoga/Lake George as our first weekend getaway. We usually visit Martha’sVineyard but decided to go with a group of our family members and learn about upstate NY. The kids couldn’t get enough of the horses at Bennington Farms, Martha’s Creme for ice cream, Congress park’s Carousel, of course the lake and did I mention the ice cream 🍦.
As if that adventure wasnt enough we were brave enough to do it again….and many more times to come of course. But, traveling down south to VA to visit family was both nostalgic and educational once again.
We stopped at chincoteague beach where the wild horses run and the famous story of misty originated. The kiddies enjoyed one beautiful horse after another with an added touch of beach of course. We enjoyed our stay at a quaint Refuge Inn…. super kid friendly; just what we like!
It’s officially Spring and the sun came along with it!
We’re ready for all of the spring colors and flowers that are in season for kids fashion & styles. V & K cannot wait to wear the new patchy tutus that come in their favorite color pink and of course that special staple color black. These tutus were hand designed by them and have worked their way into the next adventures of TwinDolliciius sisters Violet and Kelly’s wardrobe. You’ll be able to read about their next adventure ” Summer camp here we come” this fall…. but for NOW let’s enjoy some of our favorite Spring Fashion Inspiration .

In the name of the father, daughter and the fashion forward yeezus I say NY Fashion week was impressive. We did not attend any adult shows but did partake in a NYTimes article write up which featured V & K in our sparkled tutu skirts interacting with the actors from Can Do Duck the musical ; and spread a little TwinDollicious style and love to sisters in warm Arizona. (Let’s not talk about this NY Winter.)
Pretty certain that everyone got the tutu memo because dolly North West and Blue Carter looked adorable as they set the trend for fashion freedom and creativity. As every woman and girl knows how dressing up and fashion is a huge part of how you’re feeling. And wouldn’t we all love a positive self expression to be passed onto our little ones!
Side note: we’re celebrating K Doll’s new talent of snapping fingers and whistling
Some of the best moments in life are created in school. We meet great friends, experience our days as individuals finding our comforts, style and handling daily situations independently. This is why in school Author visit events are the most meaningful to me. When standing in front of 84 prek and kindergarten children it clearly feels like you’re given 45 minutes of their time to make the best impression of how important they are to you // as you are to them. The main focus while sharing stories from the TwinDollicious series is on embracing individuality, confidence and the meaningful important of great relationships with friends and siblings. After every visit; my wishes are that the impact has been made, because they are the future.
As we say hello to 2015 we begin to reflect on our goals, what we have done to achieve them and what we plan to do to continue accomplishing them. When this editorial about TwinDollicious and our personal story was featured in CupCake Magazine I couldn’t appreciate it more. It clearly stamps our journey and fuels fire to cross off those future goals as we continue to achieve them.
As the girls are now 4 years old and realize what we have been doing all this time. I now hear them say “we are TwinDollicious sisters” ~ and my heart melts, on how much they love each other so.
I love receiving art work photos from our readers of “Any Two Can Be Twindollicious” !! I believe the girls love it even more. After sharing each photo, they ask “who is that mama Twindollicious?” (in 2 year old pronunciation syllables) It completely melts my heart that they recognize Twindollicious; which has been created for them xoxo http://www.twindollicious.com/product-details.php?pid=22
