Hello October! Summer ‘19 may be gone but the memories are forever

Summer 2019 is officially over and we’re saying hello to Fall!

Just this week we hit a 90 degree day which had the beach written all over it. Instead of hitting the ocean we chose to get in the feeling of fall and head to a farm in New Jersey for apple picking.

We love the actual shop of Battle view orchards in freehold, NJ. So, it was only fitting to collect as many apples as possible (20 to be exact) then head over to the shop to purchase, pies, apple donuts, apple cider, AND candy apple kits once done in the fields.

With Halloween approaching we plan to head back to one of our favorite farm locations. Maple Leaf 🍁 Farm in Manalapan, NJ or Salem NY Harvest Moon Orchard and Wilkins Fruit & Fir Farm. It’s such a privilege to live in a state that has Farming options for fresh fruit and veggies so close by from upstate New York to our neighbors in New Jersey.

Let us know where you’ll be heading during the harvest season? Pumpkins 🎃 or 🍎 Apples or both?

We’re sending Summer off with so much love!

There was less travel to far away destinations but so much love and adventure captured in our CTH (close to home) stay cation destinations.

We’re listing them below and starting with the brand new Lego Land in Goshen, NY

Summer 2020 is going to be “awesome” if you’re a lego fan living close to NY or ready to travel to this new location. It is beyond adventure in the theme park there will also be a resort filled with awesomeness.. I mean is there anything better to look forward to?! Get your passes NOW

The nomi highchair demonstration – from infant stage , tween to college

While at the New York Baby show this month we found the Nomi highchair. We fell in love with the design, comfort and concept and had to give a full demonstration. Watch to see just how this highchair converts from infant stage- (infant seat support and table connectors are not featured and sold separately)

It can be found at Albee baby for $375 retail .

Hello 2019 the transition is real

This is our first post for 2019 so Happy New Year to everyone!

This year I did not intend on making any resolutions but if you read our previous post you may know that I do believe in reflection to learn and manifest better for the years to come.

As fun changes are well underway in how we interact on our Site and Social we continue to strive in building this TwinDollicious & co community with products and brands that excite us all.

The new year has brought about a stage of limbo . I say this from a personal standpoint, yet I am sharing 1 takeaway from this moment for any mommas and their babies who may (or may not be for the baby) be ready to stop nursing and move on to the next stage of your bonding experience as a parent.

(Call him Warrior of the mustard seeds)

Trying Almond Milk in the nipple replicated designed bottle: Tommee Tippee

After a complete 7 days of walking around smelling like mustard seed; which I found in our cupboard and decided to put on . I can say that it has been a struggle. This idea of applying something to my little ones supply of comfort and nutrition began to cross my mind a few months ago, but I told myself it wasn’t time. Now as we all know it’s never a perfect time to do anything… well sometimes. However I tried the method of comparing my experience with the twins to mentally compare and prep myself on those terms. You see nursing twins for 2 + years seemed hard , but all children nurse differently. I remember the girls weening easily, then understanding that leche (milk) was going to be done so. However with Bash, the mention of “no more leche” seemed to make him want more. The increase of feedings became harder during the day. There were times when he was so tired and insisted on feeding while I was driving, just to fall asleep which may have led us to this very moment.

(Current Tired mama moment)

At this very moment I believe that I may have slept a total of 18 hours in 7 days. Though he’d rather not have mustard seeds in his mouth, he is having a problem with regulating himself. When tired during the day, he moans or becomes cranky if I am around. When he is with his sitter he is able to catch up on his sleep. Otherwise he is up at all hours of the night, with loads of energy until he knocks himself out because he cannot find the comfort again.

Why do we as humans seek comfort in things? It’s a question I’ve been asking myself as I try to find a way to help this transition become manageable. Does comfort make us complacent? Does it stop us from growing and move out of that stage of limbo?

It’s Q1 of a new year and with the spontaneous decision to be done with nursing I’m open to more spontaneity of crushing goals, & embracing things that I hadn’t plan to tackle yet. – I CHALLENGE you to try it too!

🔑: Though it may be hard try to always smile through those challenges.

As a mom I’m here mentally and physically to help with his transition as well as my own. He is my last little baby and the thought of this change makes it all real. The comfort he seeks I plan to embrace the best way I know….. right now it’s with lots of hugs and kisses

5 go to’s for reflection and manifesting goals for 2019

Every year at this time I come to the blog to reflect and manifest. This year I’d love to reflect with some key points that I’ve learned as a mom of twin girls and a little boy , as well as a working mom with growing business.

My goal is to share some insight that may help our readers, as well as myself when I look back on it. You see, it isn’t always bad to look back. I once read that we should only look back when viewing in our rear view mirror, but I also think it’s a great learning technique how else can we learn that from our mistakes or blessings.

In my second year as a mom of three I’ve learned how to manage my time a tiny bit better. I’ve learned that I cannot slip on rest and to not go in overdrive. When handling 3 personalities as well as your own well-being its best to have our mental state at rest. If we’re relaxed as parents our children will learn to handle stressful situations better. Learning this KEY POINT here everyday… especially with the current busy schedule within our family (will share more on as we progress) .

Now in our 5th year as TwinDollicious , we’ve added “& Co ” to bring all of our amazing readers, customers and friends into one happy doll face family… as V & K say “hey dolls”!! Our Facebook Group is where we are also planning to bring great conversation about sibling bonded experiences, “how to’s”, answer questions on business, books, manufacturing, communicate 1:1 , as well as offer giveaways and giveback from our “insider box”! All that in 1 breath 😂

On that note our KEY POINT is also based on learning, but as a working mama. When building a business there are so many to do lists and though we’d love to tackle them all we eventually realize that we cannot. Hiring out has been a game changer for the stress of it as well as the great of it. Handing out power to individuals that harvest a talent you may not can be hard, especially when communication is lost. It’s best to stay in communication in order to understand if the individual is on the same page as you are for your business.

With that we’re crossing fingers for a NEW and fun website to come! We’ll keep you posted.

Doing my homework has kept me inline with writing and continuing to bring content to our growing community during the waiting period.

Q1, 2 and even 3 of 2018 was a blessing of growth Q4 has been a bit of a challenge but sometimes we must get over the hurdle in order to launch further.

When I reference homework I’m talking about taking the time to find other like minded individuals that are publicizing their work, sharing insights teaching a community of people that you’re going to love to check in with.

1. My Instagram go to has been MyLeik Teele

2. My podcast go to has been Julie Solomon

3. My online YouTube go to has been Marie Forleo

4. My blog go to has been Paulo Cohelo blog – this great one featuring Susie Moore

Leads me to bring lots of love, light and TwinDollicious insider adventures – because Any 2 can be….

Happy 2019🎊🎉🎊🎉

Winter fun and New exhibits at Liberty Science Center

It’s that time of year when the excitement of winter brings us to great places like Liberty Science Center ; just in time for their winter fun exhibits. We were recently hosted by LSC and our friends at MomTrends to view the new exhibit openings, and had so much fun. The adventure of science is everlasting and tangible right in Jersey City, NJ.

Just when you think you know it all and have all of the clues you learn something new. We’re sharing all about the 2 brand new exhibits as well as a tip and number one ingredient needed to make delicious ice cream.

This photo was captured just as nitrogen was being poured over the already mixed ingredients of milk, cream, sugar and vanilla….. TIP: wear warm gloves because it gets cold BRrrr, as seen here the kiddos were a distance away from the table and the master scientist wore gloves.

Did you know that the #1 ingredient needed for making delicious ice cream is AIR?

After enjoying their ice cream treat we followed the footsteps to find some clues and solve mysteries just like Sherlock Holmes himself. This exhibit is so interactive and fun. When entering the designated area you are greeted with a book of clues to find throughout the exhibit. There are clues and amazing historical find everywhere. We all enjoyed solving the mystery just as it was done in 1800’s. We took a crack at deciphering Morse code and trivial observations just as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did within his famous books.

After solving mysteries we were in the mood to help Doc McStuffins in her huge (toy) hospital in making the toys feel better .

As we all know it takes lots of team work to make everyone feel better and get the job done…. so that’s just what we did.

Just like Disney’s Doc McStuffins backyard toy hospital you’re able to put on a lab coat and begin working on checkups , ER while learning about health and wellness in a fun environment.

Gaming together with Starlink Battle for Atlast

THIS IS A SPONSORED POST YET ALL OPINIONS ARE FROM OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Having a twin or siblings can be amazing when playing boards and even tech games.  The amazing devices such a XBOX and Nintendo Switch were made for individual play as well as playing with others. V & K have truly enjoyed playing games like the Starlink Battle for atlas  together. We’re highlighting some major key components of the start kit HERE in this video .

Inviting a friend to play in the game is one of the best features.  Invite a friend to join at any time with the two-player split-screen local co-op!  Combine different loadouts and achieve the ultimate teamwork to save Atlas together.

Can you tell by their reaction who plays what position between these 2?IMG_9801IMG_9802
