Mommy not referee

When you become a mom you prepare yourself for the job of wearing multiples hats but referee is one that you probably don’t want to wear.

Sure we have our days but when you’re bonded with sibling love they will naturally find themselves in a better stance …. yet always side by side.

New year, new age, new adventures

Hello 2017!!! Let’s do this!

Wow have the last few weeks been something to talk about or what? With that; we’re moving forward to new beginnings and opening doors to new opportunities for V & K.

Looking back at 2016 up to now the girls have began to show their differences in interests, style and friendships. I have not read the expert guide on raising twins but Personalities are changing along with responsibilities in the girls relationship. Thanks! Just when I thought I had it figured out.

For those of you who may not know what this means; it’s like a twin shift.

This happens when twins begin to do things that are out of character for themselves but more of the things that their twin would do.  It also happens with food, style and likes.

If you’re a parent of multiples or are a multiple……ask yourself did you always find yourself/or your child’s behavior carefree, or super organized and then began to change?

V & K’s current shift has been a confidence booster surprise! Suddenly someone (we won’t reveal which one…can you guess who?) is interested in singing, dancing, camera time and class participation. While the other remains confident but with a bit of cautiousness.  It isn’t cautious behavior to be alarmed of but perhaps less carefree. In a way as to let one twin shine while she takes a step aside for her sister to experience some fun.

May they always have each others back!

3 ways to embrace the beautiful distractions

What are distractions? Those things or situations that occur which keep us from completing our to do list. Or how about that life long plan you have TO TRY something new, start a new journey or take a trip that seems to be stopped by someone special or a job.

Can it be that We never take the time to acknowledge that these slight interruptions are in fact distractions.  As an adult perhaps we forget but I’m pretty sure children all a cross the world are reminded when gazing offi n class that they’re being distracted….( It’s a number 1 teacher’s favorite). Any how with sticking to the topic; I’d like to share 3 lessons I’ve learned to help me understand and handle deadlines and  surprise happening or behaviors in order to get the job done.

We recently shared our grandest addition which will arrive this summer. It hit me with such shock in the middle of a busy work schedule which included appearances, deadlines and freelance work with others, yet took me back to a place that I was in 6 years ago. A place where doubt had set in on the chance of ever having children and then V&K were here! BUT remember the dying desperation, asking and prayin… Those days and nights of long talks were not falling on deaf ears. The response was given yet when lease expected.

1. That number one rule to remember what you have asked for over and over again will receive a response; and usually after you’ve shown and proven that you can handle it. (Note: maybe a time when you’re overwhelmed).

2. Creating a deadline for yourself regarding work for others and yourselves is key. BUT the topper is allowing yourself enough time with your tasks that in between your work for others you can take a breather to visit your project. This allows you to remember your creative goals as well.

3. Take an organizational brake to manage your thoughts and connect with your team. It can be a partner, mentor, spouse or whom ever provides tha creative energy that allows you to help each other grow.

I’d like to share some of the creative outlets we’ve gained by following rule number 1. This barn yard entry way to embrace the upcoming nursery.

Along with a collaborative shoot to embrace our TwinDollicious message of sibling love with new Spring/Summer release design of double the hearts.  Perhaps with an infant design surprise.

Remember to take minute to think when hit with those small signs of distractions (ex:the black cat crossing)

Dolls , Fashion and Fun

Have you ever heard the saying Try it you may like it? Well we did, and in this case it’s the experience, people and fun tht we LOVE!

Team TwinDollicious and V & K ventured off to another runway show / pageant in Wippany N J; organized by the company East Coast Starz. The owners : Stacie Fitz and Lauren are definitely creating stars when working with the models, moms and sponsors of the shows.

Take 9 was the name of this event and it included tons of sponsors, designers, models as young as 3 years old, judges , casting directors, talents, singers, dancers and management companies.

It was great to meet all of the team members / models that walked our line.  The excitement of meeting customers, whom become friends are the best hands on experiences ever. We are built to create confidence through, fun and fashion and with all of our new Dolly friends we’re one step ahead in the right direction.
Enjoy the smiles on their faces :):)

Neon girls for the Summer

Summer is coming and spring is here; yahoo! Our wardrobe has brightened a bit and so has the infamous http://www.freshlypicked.com/ moccasin collection. We must have been feeling a bit NEON because our V & K Designs by TwinDollicious matches 50% of their new drop of colors. We did a giveaway collaboration photo shoot to share the NEON love.
With the girls as CEO of the receiving department. It is their job to open all packages and they enjoy doing it. When the Freshly Picked package arrived Mom had to contain herself a bit and humbly hand it over.

The girls tore the box and pouch wrapped Moccs out took a deep sniff (which I thought was a true design lover move) and went to putting them on their feet; asking if they were for them. Yes, oh yes the dress up, style pulling, fun had to began. Here are a few takes of our fun shoot. All Moccs and matching Twindollicious Neon Green and white striped tutu dresses are in stock sizes 18 months – 6yo. One of our lucky instagram followers won this ootd.

Favorite Fall Fashion

It seems that around this time every year the realization that my twin girls are getting big sinks in. Their language development has grown tremendously to the point that we have full conversations… I mean intelligent conversations to the point that they may soon handle business call; and they’re 2. I’m pretty sure most parents are shocked by their child’s capabilities to do the simplest or smartest things but I’m mostly impressed when they approach me without warning and say mom you’re awesome. Kennedy usually starts with those compliments and Vita follows with a hug or kiss.. I mean really. Will this soon work to get them the extras or a definite yes to something I would automatically say no to… We’ll see.
The physical growth spurt happily occurs Right after kids fashion week. This is when we begin our hunt for our favorite fall pieces. The girls are enjoying their favorite hooded cardigan in nude, a bit of pink (leggings found at http://www.twindollicious.com) and of course a classic black and white. Our favorite occasion dress for that fall fashionable party is a personal design (http://.www.twindollicious.com).
Occasion tutu dress calls for lots of dancing and singing with these animated two ( http://www. YouTube.com/twindollicious ) and it is the best thing to watch (even in their robes). We will continue to update wardrobe picks because the girls enjoyed putting these pieces together especially when it included their favorite sweater.
